Mr. Mann is a partner of Mann Symons LLP, a Toronto law firm. He was previously a partner of various national law firms in Canada and of a New York based firm. Mann practices primarily in the areas of technology, procurement, e-health and intellectual property law. Mann is the immediate Past President of the Canadian Information Technology Law Association. He has served as Chair of the International Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, and Co-Chair of the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association. He is the author of Computer Technology and the Law in Canada, co-author of Internet Law, and co-editor of Electronic Commerce: A Practitioner’s Guide and of Mann’s Technology Law News. Mann has been recognized as a leading lawyer in technology law by various national and international publications.
Mann is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island (where he was the recipient of the Gold Medal), and holds LL.B., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from McGill University.
